SCALE held two Writing Workshops in June and August, 2002. These events, held on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley, brought together the research group of Marcia Linn and several SCALE partners to plan and critique summer writing projects. These workshops also developed an AERA structured poster session proposal and a plan for a paper-set journal submission.
Synergy Communities hosted a Water Quality Workshop in June, 2001. This event, held on the campus of Northwestern University, brought together researchers, scientists, curriculum developers, and educators who were actively working on innovative approaches to supporting learning about water quality and who were particularly interested in the potential for collaboration with other groups engaged in similar work.
